I dont like it, was expeded more dark song, this is just too "happy". however, I cant wait for album, cuz I feel there will be way better songs
I would never imagine a song called "Born This Way" to be dark, because the subject matter is about being yourself, which is a very liberating thing to do. The single cover looks dark, but at the same time it looks free and liberating.
I'm not even going to post my full thoughts. I get the feeling she's now surrounded with people who will praise her for any and everything she does, which up to The Fame Monster was pretty much deserved. The sad thing is this will have a HUGE effect on any new music from her because people are going to be afraid to tell her "this doesn't sound good" or "that's not a good idea". I'll wait to hear her album before I judge fully, but it's not uncommon that artists with HUGE debuts completely lose it on their second album.

This would have been a good summer song. But I don't see this as a hit, TBH. It's not even a risk production-wise, and the lyrics are really cheesy. But this is the best her voice has sounded.
I also get Express Yourself teas and some old school nostalgia (Teenage Dream did it better, though). Overall it just sounds like a good filler track (minus the lyrics), but not single material at all.

My local station doesn't seem to have caught on yet and they've only played it twice... once at 1:30am, once at 4am (44 minutes ago...) They need to GET ON IT!
