Why? Think about it. Friday release ensures she'll rule the weekend, and then Sunday night's performance will bump her at LEAST through the rest of week 1. If it went onsale *after* the performance, it might struggle with all of the new releases next week
Sales are counted from Monday to Sunday... If she releases on Friday, she won't debut very high. And I do want her to debut at #1.
Interscope Records will service Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" to radio this Friday (Feb. 11) at 6 a.m. ET and iTunes three hours later. Other digital retailers are expected to offer the track within the following 24 hours.
