3's debut was far above Bad Romance's. Circus's opening week was much bigger than the combined sales of TF/TFM from Black Friday week (when the latter debuted). Huge openings are Britney's thing.

I can't remember the actual numbers, but "Bad Romance" opened similarly to "Russian Roulette." However, "Bad Romance" turned around while "Russian Roulette" didn't.

Yep, 140k. Definitely was not a seller at first. It was more of a grower hit.

Rihanna did nothing the same as her last Huge era (and all that Russian Roulette in the US was out of buzz)
A performance does not guarantee u 100K, but a Grammy performance that presents your mostly anticipated new single from ur new album, does.
And yes.... Firework and Grenade are just exploding.... they are selling 400K a week.... (they already peaked and there is not a HUGE HIT SONG out right now.) = no competition
