Mainstream radio plays something when it is coming closer to its release date, exspecially when its a single of an album already out.

If rihanna is going to perform it at the brits, imo i think she needs some airplay to back it up, so it doesnt just rise and then fall again then rise again when the airplay increases. And if radio do start playing the song now when the release date is in april, this song will be getting rotation for 3 months before its actual release.
Basicly what im trying to say is that They should bring forward the release, so that she has reasonable airplay when she performs this song at the brits

Good point. It could end up having a chart run similar to that of Firework. Katy performed the song on the X Factor before radio picked it up. Its sales surged as a result, but began to decline before picking up again. It had longevity but didn't peak at number 1 because of that.
