Gaga has made herself a member of American politics, and if she doesnt follow through than she IS phony. And WILL be remembered that way. Get a grip. Reality is, Gaga has acheived herself a social status that NEEDS to be liven up to. And she has the fanbase to support all the 'sales' she needs. Gaga is a part of the gay movement.

She needs this, and so does America.

I agree. I think she won't flop because of the hype but she probably would alienate some of her fans if she keep doing things like that and constantly re-invent herself. It's kind of getting old now.
