Thats because the solo version was meant to be bright and fun as it was shot in the daytime on a bright day. They had to reshoot the video with Drake and they did it at night so the scenes are not that bright. I wish they had kept the solo version. The only part that they kept was the dancing at the end from the original shoot. Thats why that imagery looked so bright.
