Brilliant, amazing, masterpiece. There are no words to describe it. One of the best movies of the decade. I hope it wins everything it is nominated for.

Be careful. Annette Bening has a strong performance, a legendary career and a lot of voter sympathy on her side this year...

Earlier this awards season, Barbara Hershey was the "Black Swan" supporting actress being recognized for her performance. Now nominations for Mila Kunis are cropping up everywhere. I don't get it! While I thought that Kunis did a fine job with a simpler part, Hershey's performance was much more interesting and chilling for me as a viewer.

I didn't realize you were talking about the Golden Globes. I meant the Oscars, which has a propensity to reward overdue actors with pseudo "lifetime achievement" awards. Oftentimes, the critical choice and award season frontrunner can lose out at the last minute to a sentimental favorite (see: Alan Arkin beating Eddie Murphy for Best Supporting Actor in 2007).

You're right, Annette seems overdue, plus it helps that critics actually loved her performance so it wouldn't feel like they're doing her a favor.
But Portman has the showier role. It's flashier and sexier. The movie has a lot of heat right now. They're desperate for ratings so a pretty young girl winning is better. I still give her the edge.

Damn! I want to watch this so badly. There's still no release date in Mexico, and I'm feeling it won't get released until February.

I loved Bening in "The Kids Are Alright"! She was just so natural and amazing.

Portman was also incredible and I agree that she is still the frontrunner. The critics' awards have mostly been on her side and she's never had a role like this in her career, so an Oscar would certainly launch her to a new level. There are equally compelling reasons for her to win and I think many Academy voters also recognize that.

Not a bad expansion, strong numbers on less than 1,000 screens. Wish it had been stronger, but this isn't that commercial a film. The next two weeks are going to be HUGE at the box office and it's going to be adding screens, so I still think it can hit 50M total.

I dunno why everyone is so impressed with Natalie Portman
She just looked constipated throughout the whole movie and her last line was cheesy as hell
