Guys, I've said many times how So Happy I Could Die is one of my top 5 Gaga songs, by far. I love the melody and the disturbing, ice cold lyrics. I loved the performance on the Monster Ball Tour, but after listening to this gorgeous cover



I can't help but thing how classy and brilliant it would've been for her to do one more song at the piano along with Speechless and You and I, this being it. What do you guys think?

It would have been cool.
But that guy plays mostly her vocals, not the real instrumental version.
But I'm sure her version would sound even better than this.

Well, I always love going a little bit deeper on Gaga's music and videos. I'm not a fan of pop music at all, but I'm a HUGE fan of the Lady. She is extremely smart and she puts a lot of work and thought behind everything she creates. And I think it's fascinating that you can bring the catchiness and commercial aspect of pop music with something else that makes you think and let's you interpret it artistically.

The composition of So Happy I Could Die, especially the lyrics, are another great example. A lot of people think it's a song about partying with your best friend. The one instance she mentions best friend she's actually talking about herself: "be your best friend, yeah I love you forever". SHICD is what any of us would sound if you sang everything we were thinking when we're completely wasted and in our bubble in the middle of a club.
