Christina Aguilera's not a legend, and by the way things are shaping up, she NEVER will. She's an iconic pop star. That is all. If anything, what's legendary are her flops.
Kurt Cobain is NOT a legend. That's like saying Britney & Beyoncé are legends. He is an icon for the immense popularity of grunge-rock in the early 90's and is a symbol for rock fans and men during that time period. Legends have established themselves as being extremely talented & popular to a level of being extraordinary and have made a huge mark on the music industry and pop culture in general. But this is something that has been recognized for GENERATIONS. For now, Kurt is still a rock icon.

I myself am not even that familiar with him, and you can say what you will but that just shows how much impact he had on MY culture. People like Madonna, The Beatles, Supremes, Tina, Aretha, and Micheal were inescapable. Everyone from every culture knows their name because they are legend. I couldn't pick Kurt Cobain out a crowd if you put him right in front of me. It's not ignorance to music, it's me not being exposed to him in any way.... there genre/culture lines and some people never cross them the way others do.

The claim that "your culture" isn't familiar with Cobain is an irrelevant point. A multitude of people - ranging from the GP to the critics to the label execs - regard Cobain to be legendary and one of the most influential figures in modern music. I didn't say that you thought that.
It'd be ridiculous to claim that in their time Nirvana weren't inescapable, but that's not exactly what I'm trying to underline. It's known that Nirvana had pretty insane popularity.
"The fact that you're not sure everyone knows Nirvana" does not make my post false.

This thread went no where. No one actually told us why she isn't a legend with credible info, so that means she clearly is 1.

In our case, an exception must also be a rule-breaker. Rules, like f(x) = g(x) for all x≠0 and h(x) for x=0, make everything predictable without fail. There is no such rule that includes predictable exceptions when it comes to what makes a legend.

Might want to reread this thread again because it's all there in black and white
You've contributed about 3 lines to this topic counting this post and we know you're an Aguilera fan. Why so silent on defending her now? Those who say she isn't have a lot more to show and prove than those who think she is. You're here now and haven't supplied anything.
Speak up if you have something to add

No, sir. You are incorrect. If one is a rock legend, he must also be a music legend. Just as the Beatles are rock legends, they are too music legends. Just as Madonna is a pop legend, she is too a music legend. Etcetera. Legends don't just exist in a little bubble. You will not be trying to diminish Kurt on my time

I'm not here for such films. I am here, however, for making sure mathematical terminology is used correctly.

Burden of proof is on the person(s) making the claim

A Legend is a Lagend, doesn't matter if it's Pop, Rock or R&B
