Why are people so shocked that TD got nominated? Taylor Swift WON last year, was that some great masterpiece? ^ Filler Dream is not critically or commercially acclaimed. That's basically why people are shocked. Had they put the more acclaimed albums by Miranda Lambert or Jay-Z the country/rap votes would have split so I do think they put TD there for a reason.

Lord knows I cannot stand Taylor's non-singing ass worth a damn, but her album was one of the best-reviewed albums in the category, not to mention the most commercially successful. It was no surprise that she won among that crop of nominees.

When an album with such horrible reviews like Teenage Dream is nominated, it's generally because the album was a massive commercial success. But Teenage Dream wasn't even that. It was one of the biggest disappointments of the year, if industry watchers are to be believed. I agree that there was definitely payola involved, because TD being nominated for AOTY is one of the most utterly pointless noms I've seen in a long time.

Anyway, I hope Cee Lo and B.o.B can take home an award in one of the general fields.

I had a meltdown of epic proportions last night. It is unbelievable that "You Lost Me" was not nominated for Best Female Vocal.

No other song released this year has stronger and talented vocals. None. The category this year is a joke. Teenage Dream and Haiti I Can See Your Halo??

1)Katy Perry AOTY nod is a complete joke. This album was hated by the critics (52 in metacritic) plus it underperformed majorly in the sales department. WTF? Why not Sade? Shows again how pointless Grammys can be. They just go for the most random albums. Singles were great though...maybe this is their criteria.

2) Beyonce again?????? For the same song over and over again? They just loooooove their precious Beyonce.

Taylor Swift won fair last year. She had the sales and had the quality well-received by the critics.
And i´ll be damned if she is snubbed in 2012. She is killing everybody in the biz right now.
