hopefully she can sell 100k this week.
However, she might see an increase hopefully in sales. by the end of the season, I think she will be near 700k.

its not such a bad single. I dont know why everyone is getting so upset. RM is very catchy, and is sorta like "tik tok" with the verses. You feel like a bad ass singing the song, so I think this song will help the album sales and I can see the song being played across every urban radio in the country!! Her label is wanting to gain fans in the urban area!

If they want to sell albums and attracks Urban fans they should have released Man Down.
And if Raining Men is the 3rd single, then the 4th and 5th are S&M and Cheers. There were much better single choices than Raning Men (Fading,California King Bed,Man Down..)
And releasing a single in a week or 2 from now is very stupid.WMN? has yet to explode.OG has yet to die down. It's very stupid releasing a single before January.

The holidays are coming, she will keep increasing.
I see her selling around between 600-700k in the year end.

But, I don't think MAN DOWN would do so good. Its a massive song, yes for the album, but single wise? I don't know. Raining Men, has what "single ladies and get me bodied" had. URBAN will love this song.
I don't think its a single though. IT could be just a promo single. It's not confirmed till RDaily says it, or her label says it.

Man Down would flop,or would be huge hit.
Raining Men won't flop,it would be top 20 or even 10 hit.
But,Man Down will help her sell albums 100x more than what would Raining Men do.
So,Riri better take that risk and release Man Down as a single at a point.

ahh, I don't know. RiRi so far has got the media's attention with "amazing songs" as singles. She's reestablishing herself, esp with the fans she lost with Rated R.
So releasing Man Down, would either gain or lose. She doesnt need to take that risk yet.

She needs to take risks from time to time,or else some people will get bored of her.

ehh, that's true, but I wouldn't take them right away, she just released an album, she wants to get as much as she can with the holiday season. Once the album goes plat. then she can take as many risks as possible!!
DEF JAM know what they are doing, they are very smart!

No. They are the most idiotic record label that has been given the privilege to manage a megastar's career. They are damn lucky to have RiRi be as epic as she is, or else Rated R era would have flopped beyond belief.

I actually think them releasing Raining Men now is a good idea. They are obviously trying to capture the Urban audience that were on the fence about buying the album with WMN? to actually BUY the album. What better time to do it then the holidays when people spend money? Sure WMN? is still gaining on Urban but many artists have multiple songs rising on that chart. (i.e. Trey Sonz, Usher)
Plus, if she managed to do it with WMN? and OG on the Pop chart, which is alot more competitive, she shouldnt have an issue on the Urban chart. Raining Men actually does have crossover appeal so I wouldnt be surprised if it crossed over to Pop which would be ideal. That would allow them to save Cheers and S&M for next year and create great longevity for the album. I think Def Jam is looking at the big picture. Stay positive people.
