Ne-Yo at least has/had hype going into his actual release (singles on the radio, AMAs). Ciara's Top 5 was from nearly 6-8 months ago. Hardly comparable. If Ciara had "Ride" at this very moment, we'd have better outlooks obviously.

Will she be dropped from her label if this album flops? Her label is horrible, but I'm afraid she won't get signed to another one if she does get dropped. I would rather her leave on her own.

Of course it's not generally good or amazing.. But we're talking Ciara with no hits since the Spring, and bare promo compared to her temporaries releasing.
Jive won't drop her. No matter how faulty she performs, she gives them positive revenue.
