Umm yes. There was very little hype around any of those albums. Whereas Pink Friday is probably one of the most hyped albums of the year, behind Speak Now.

Gaga is the biggest star of 2009-2010 in pop music. Everybody was buying that song because of HER, except the Beyonce stans.

Trey is a huge flop, would have been a one-hit wonder as far as pop stars go, and Bottoms Up is only catchy because of Nicki.

As I said above, hit singles don't always equate to hype. And failed promo doesn't either.
No one was talking about that album, no one besides stans was anticipating it.
