They're just Soundscan numbers. It sold 300,000+ outside of the markets Soundscan includes. "...Baby One More Time" is nearly 2x Platinum anyway...

Britney's team doesn't do certifications on shipments. If that were the case Britney would be certified 5x platinum, In The Zone would be certified 3x platinum and Blackout would be certified platinum.

What an idiot. There are two other people in particular who do this, one is a Gaga stan and one is a Bey stan. Everybody has a love/hate relationship with Britney but it seems few of the Brit stans do this for the others (I used to but I gave up on that **** real quick. ). I wonder why. :scary:

I thought about the BMG Music Club sales, but it's not exactly a constant explanation, considering the fact that, if it were, like our oh, so nice friend Cahleb has mentioned, "Britney" would be 5X Platinum. Not to mention they have over-certified Britney's records in the past, even with BMG Music Club sales included.

Since Jive is so poorly organized, I don't think we will ever know truly official, accurate and updated Britney's sales numbers.
