Did they commend Beyonce's vocals or her performances and stage presence alone? 'Cause they are two different things. Sorry I don't follow Beyonce. But I know Whitney also commended Christina's vocals. And that is the biggest compliment a singer can get coming from 2 of the greatest divas. The only diva that did not commend Christina for is Mariah because they're not in good terms with each other.
When Mariah was Beyonce's age, she was magnificent vocally. And besides, only 4 pop stars are true sopranos - Mariah, Celine, Whitney and Christina. Mariah has 7-octave vocal range. The other 3 have 5 octaves. Beyonce has 3 octaves only. The above 4 could belt out high notes that Beyonce could never. No wonder why she doesn't have much ballad songs.
Her voice.
And it doesn't matter if she can't sing as high because that is not the end of all singing. Beyonce can do things Mariah could never do in the studio or live with her voice. Mariah and Whitney along with Celine even love Beyonces voice. Mariah can sing higher and that is it Beyonce has her beat in every other field!

and beyonce can belt higher then christina as christina her textura ends at E5 while beyonce can effortless belt up to F5/F#5, while christina struggles to belt past D5.
not to mention beyonce her conected range is wider then christinas

where would she get it from she would have to sing notes off the piano

Her voice keeps improving every year, her latest tour had some of the best vocals I've ever heard.

Christina did a duet with Andrea Boccelli that is good compliment too.
Vocalists, like Mariah and Whitney, that can shift from pop to gospel without breaking a sweat are exceptional. Celine's voice is pop and operatic that makes her one of a kind too.. Every record Beyonce puts up sounds R&B to me.
