But you said yourself Urban stations only play black artists, so basically that's implying they should be punished for not being black?
How can a song appeal to Pop, RnB, Hip-Hop, Country, Mainstream Rock, Alternative Rock, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Christian, Gospel, Bluegrass and Jazz stations? Some of those formats contradict each other. It's impossible to crossover to every single format. That's why there's Pop and Rhythmic stations.
I'm not trying to sound discriminatory, but all the artists you quoted did not catch on to the urban market like Rihanna and Beyonce perhaps because of that certain trait. Some urban listeners are not open to all types of people either, just like certain southerners.
