Poor woman has to dedicate an entire room in a house just to store the wigs of the lessor gorls

Lady Gaga surpassed @TheEllenShow in Twitter followers!
Ashton Kutcher and Britney Spears need to glue their wigs some more because Gaga is coming

LOL, no1curr for Facebook or Twitter or Myspace or Youtube. Lady Gaga will never come near to Britney's physical sales. Digital sales are negligible. Gaga has sold about 12,000,000 - 13,000,000 physical records so far with two albums, plus her fame/success isn't that groundbreaking. Even The Spice Girls were huger at their prime.
In all honestly, Lady Gaga will have a very hard time to reach even Kylie Minogue's physical sales. lol
Let's not even talk about Madonna's 325,000,000 sales. She is the one who broke all the boundaries and the one who reformed the music industry alongside Michael Jackson back in the 1980's. She even impacted society. Gaga will never even reach Britney's level of significance.

Lady GaGa has certainly got your attention -- and has you pressed flat.
You do realize that 12M-13M in this day and age is stupendous, right?
Madonna's 325M sales are fantastic, but they mostly date back to the Jurassic era, when people actually bought albums.

Agreed, however, Gaga's 12,000,000 - 13,000,000 translates to 20,800,000 copies sold in the standards of the market back in 1999 - 2000 (when the industry peaked). And this figure includes TWO studio albums.
The market was 60% greater back then, so if you do the math (13,000,000 x 1,6) you will realize that Gaga's sales aren't THAT phenomenal after all.
Britney Spears sold 25,000,000 + 20,000,000 = 45,000,000 with her first two albums in 1999-2000. Gaga would have sold about 20,800,000 with her first two albums back then. The winner is very apparent.
Just trying to prove that Gaga's success isn't as amazing as her stans try to present it.

Oh I see, so you time traveled back to 1999-2000 to see if people would have bought THE FAME by then?
As for the 20.8M figure, I wonder how you arrived at that ludicrous figure, because since 2008, 95% of music is obtained illegally.

If you check the total yearly album sales in the US provided by Soundscan, you will observe that the industry has shrunk by about 60% since 2000 when CD sales peaked (cassette sales declined though, making 1999 the biggest year for overall record sales).
Therefore, you make no sense whatsoever, because:
a) The 95% number you posted refers mostly to SINGLE songs and not full albums.
b) Most people that download music illegally would never buy an album even back in 2000.
c) The 95% thing you posted has nothing to do with the rate of decline of album sales. Only yearly Soundscan reports are an accurate gauge of how much the industry has shrunk.
FOCUS PLEASE!!
