It is a fact if it's from the 1920 US Census.
A mulatto is chiefly black and white, that means a parent must have identified as white and the other must have identified as black. This seems correct because the Broussards (Beyoncé's great-grandparents) were strictly white.
Google is your best friend if you know how to discern.
