2008 is basically 90's quality, a 10 year period in Korea is equivalent to 30 years
of American/Global pop culture
Groups like 2NE1/SNSD/Wonder Girls are only as old as the likes of Rihanna, but I think one of the reasons they're recognised as K-Pop legends ( aside from the fact that they're pioneers of modern k-pop) is because their debut material looks so old that it kinda gives the impression of them being around and successful for a really long time, when in reality they're like 25 year old girls only just getting up to 10 years as a group.
If you put their old MVs next to an American MV from the time, you'd probably think the Korean one was 10 years older.
You guys are jumping to worst-case situations right now
Wonder Girls' brand power is strong enough to let them survive outside of JYP

they're pretty much a self-sustained team

they can pull a BEG and stay active as a group while members are under different agencies. I can't see JYP being petty enough to reject that
