Americans named Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton the most-admired woman living anywhere in the world for the 20th time, according to a poll released Monday.

Gallup says 13 percent of participants mentioned the former secretary of state when asked, “What [woman/man] that you have heard or read about, living today in any part of the world, do you admire most? And who is your second choice?”

During her lifetime, former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt was named most-admired woman a total of 13 times — placing her as the runner-up regarding first-place rankings.

This is the 14th consecutive year Clinton has topped the annual Gallup list — longer than any other woman or man in the Washington-based consulting company’s history.

Since 1993, when she was first named most-admired woman, Clinton has maintained the media’s attention with her various roles: first lady, senator, secretary of state and presidential candidate.

Michelle Obama is never gonna be POTUS either.
She's liked now and she should preserve that and use it to stand up for the disenfranchised. If she eyes running for president, the GOP will bring up everything that's wrong with the Obama administration and blame it on her. As a result, she'll go down Hillary road.

Her highest favorability was while she was first lady in his second term, especially after she stood by him after his affairs. She capitalized on that to get elected as senator.
As for first lady of Arkansas, it wasn't hatred. They just found her too unconventional. It was a conservative town and she was this feminist who wouldn't take her husband's last name. It's bound to create some disconnect. She wasn't known enough to be liked or disliked on a national level yet, let alone worldwide level.

Sanders would have lost to Trump all the same. His message was too all-inclusive for Middle American white working class voters, who are only concerned with themselves. This election for them was more or less to "put the minorities in their place."

If a message of hatred is what it takes to win a Presidential election, then that speaks volumes about where we are as a country. And Sanders wouldn't have been able to do anything to turn that around, imo.

I remember reading an article about the conservative bubble somewhere that touched on this. They're living in as much, if not more, of a bubble than "coastal elite liberals". The difference being those coastal elites pay taxes that subsidize their country living and are more in tune with world affairs. nn So comparatively, liberals live in a large ass bubble.

And the way they vehemently advocate for lower taxes and more subsidies for the rich while vehemently fighting against universal healthcare, a higher minimum wage, welfare, and free tuition. Like, do you wanna go back to how the working class lived during the industrial revolution?

Yeah Obama needs to calm down with the pompous attitude. A big part of why she lost is because she was seen as his third term and that's because she never once threw him under the bus while on the campaign trail. He has the right to be disappointed but don't take it out on Hil when her coalition came out for you in 2008 when they evidently didn't have to and your coalition deserted her in 2016 and went for Bernie/Trump.
