This is why racism will never end and cause more trouble. Don't fight fire with fire

True, he did. The key issue with the election though is Hillary lost moderate/liberal leaning states she would have normally had in the bag. Hence, where this idea that this kind of "dear white people" nonsense that is often perpetuated by the left forced people who weren't die hard liberals to shift right. Not saying it's true but it's possible.

He won 3 states by barely 1% each even with increased white turnout for Republicans.
He didn't win cause people are "tired of SJWs" - exit polls even showed many poor white people in the 3 moderate states don't want immigrants deported or hurt, but felt they had no other option since they're living paycheck to paycheck and have nothing left to lose. White moderates aren't becoming "more conservative" in the face of social progression - both the left and right have been sitting on their hands re: the economy and only the right could spin it in their favor.
Clinton mainly lost WI + MI + PA due to a lack of turnout for black voters, which makes sense - Clinton expected them and had little ground efforts in those 3 states, and she's a Democrat with a fairly conservative history. She deflated spirits and hope.
If anything, 2016 proved to Dems that playing to the center and being moderate to compliment Republicans means nothing and "their" side of the country (who CAN win elections since there's simply more of them and they are the majority of the country - hey huge popular vote win!) is tired of slow progress and wants progress now. Begging for crumbs for social progress in order to "be nice to Republicans" and neoliberal policies stunting fiscal progress hurt the Democrats - not Tumblr or SJWs.

Interesting but plenty are in absolute trash positions, mental health states, lack education, lack government support, basic rights and social status. Whiteness is not some impenetrable shield, it certainly shouldn't give way for them to be treated without compassion and consideration of their esteem and feelings. If someone insulted me using my race as a prefix "black bastard", It doesn't offend me because of "systematic oppression", it hurts because of the immediate prejudice and discrimination I just experienced targeting an aspect of my character that is core to my identity.
OP:
These click bait headlines are starting to backfire, it drowns out any real conversation that could of been had, whilst both sides argue about whether it meets the strict definition of "racism" or not (as if thats all that matters) and a whole bunch of other nonsense. Its like they make these videos for themselves, a means to reinforce their own eco-chamber as opposed to actually trying to educate the demographic they're speaking about. In the case of MTV I think they just overestimate the prevalence of this militant social liberal mindset, they made this thinking the world would give them a clap on the back and call them woke

Nobody is saying that white people cannot suffer. Of course there are white people in poverty, white people wrongly accused of crimes, white people who are homeless. The point being made is that this is not because of their race. White people do not suffer discrimination because of their race. This does not mean that they cannot be at a disadvantage in society, just that this disadvantage is not caused by the colour of their skin, but linked to other factors.

I expected an actually controversial video.
This was quite tame.
They even pulled out the hail marry with "some white guys do great, some white guys don't"
They said "Some white guys really **** up, those guys should fix it"
and OTHER white guys are STILL like "Uhm, Not all white guys1@#!#!"
If you aren't part of who they are talking about, then you are not the problem, and trying to make it about you just derails the important topic being discussed.
The fact that this video has SO many dislikes to likes is a testament to the growing trend that ANY sort of generalization about white people is just unacceptable (as they continue to pass laws and policy that is for the generalization and stereotyping of all other people on the damn planet )
Check your damn privilege and grow the **** up tbh. That's all I can say.
@Daddy, no this isn't racist. In fact, its honestly almost even political correct with the amount of sensitivity and care they put into the topic to try to not piss off white men.

Lol, the video's problem is not the content, it's the tone and intention

The point being made is that due to their disadvantages not stemming from their race that you have free rain to address their racial identity in a way that lacks tact, respect and would be considered highly offensive if addressing any other demographic. You shouldn't act surprised when they are offended. The simple reality is that certain methods of communication can be divisive, can be entirely counterproductive to discussion and reassuring yourself that they "rule the world" or "it won't effect them anyway" is playing dense.
I repeat
"Whiteness is not some impenetrable shield, it certainly shouldn't give way for them to be treated without compassion and consideration of their esteem and feelings."

They can cry "racism!!1!!1!!" all they want online but at the end of the day they're not being targeted for their skin color.

But this is what white people have done for centuries to anyone that isn't white and still to this day it's ingrained in society. You can't blame people for being mad at that.
If you were treated unfairly your entire life one day you'd snap.

Don't y'all ever get tired of bitching in threads about "reverse racism" and "whiny SJWs"? No? Alright, carry on.

People legitimately snapping is one thing. Intelligent, educated people fostering an environment where they propagate this behaviour as a sort of "just desert" and intellectualising why its ok is something else entirely.
I'm not one to run around constantly policing tone. But when its been adopted into the mainstream narrative (we're talking MTV), I know that this is not the result of people "snapping". Its something thats on trend in the liberal space and its not necessarily helpful.

This is the biggest hurdle in the entire conversation and one I don't think certain audiences will ever get because many white people simply don't view race as a social concept or a conscious construction placed on white people by society. They... just see whiteness as an innate, biological part of identity and can't understand it on a societal level as a tool to malign people.
That has to be why so many people, when this discussion happens, TRULY believe that being told that they benefit from 'whiteness' as a privilege is "anti-white hatred". They 1) refuse to see how race is a construction meant to malign non-white folks around them and 2) that their own race is not some biological, innate element to their very being.
So when people say white privilege benefits white people, so many white people take it as an attack on their ENTIRE BEING (their whole self, and thus feel it discredits their existence as a poor person, or a gay person, or a woman, or just a human being) as opposed to just one of many axes of identity. They view whiteness as just is and who they are, something tangible and not a made-up concept of grouping people.
