Awesome! Those classes sound awesome! At my school, they only offer a screenwriting course for any student. For anything production wise or about television, you have to be a screen arts major (which is SUPER frustrating!)

I WISH that happened to my roommate! I still hope he gets kicked out somehow.
Walking in on him having sex 24/7 plus him thinking he's a rapper leaves me enraged.
The bitch also steals my **** and disposes of it before I realize, so once I do, he just says I have no proof.
It's gotten so bad, I considered getting weed from someone, planting it in his room, and just getting him kicked out. He might get himself kicked out though, because he failed two classes this semester and his mom wants him to leave and go to community college.
Regardless, I've already decided I'm doing a single next year.

dskfhskdh. mine was like the exact opposite. he was the biggest prude ever and literally any time i would bring anyone into the room or come back after like 10:30 he would literally flip out the next morning and like lecture me
but i just got an email notification notifying me of a terminated agreement and when i tell i shrieked with joy ksdjfkshd

It sucks so much, especially since I picked the dude to be my roommate.
Like, I'm not a prude about the sex and everything, I just wish I could be notified when they are doing something so I don't walk in on it 24/7. Also, they both don't have classes on the days I have classes, so they could have sex legit all day but always do it when I'm around. I was a really bad push-over with him until the beginning of the month, after he got locked out of the room at 2 AM so I had to drive back to campus for him (I was clubbing) and then he trolled me about getting me a birthday present.

I switched roommates (we're all in the same suite though) a couple of weeks ago and I feel free. My old roommate asked me if we could switch with two other girls in our suite because apparently we have "conflicting" sleep schedules. And she always felt bad for waking me up. This bitch knows she's lying through her teeth - she never wakes me up. I knew the real reason is because she wanted to room with her ~bestie~ so they can gossip about the ppl on this floor without me overhearing ****. 
I told her I would have no problem moving but she really had the audacity to drop this on me mid-semester.
It would only benefit me anyways - no more of her racist ass, no more of her burping and farting competitions in our room, no more shrilly laughter, and no more drama/gossip congregations in our room. Our floor is literally clique central all because of HER so I'm glad I'm away from that **** now.

lawd, let me just make a list of grievances about one of my roommates
- has a disgusting personality
- ugly
- used my shoe as a door stop when the actual door stop was right there
- used my tupperware to clean his bike, now it's stained with bike grease
- stole my mouthwash, then USED the new mouthwash I bought to replace my stolen one
- steals my food
- his desk/chair is piled with his ****, so he uses the kitchen table to work
- never cleans up the kitchen table, so I don't have room to even eat breakfast in the morning
- never does the dishes
- never takes out the trash
- comes home from parties drunk as ****
- has poor-ish personal hygiene
- can be exceedingly extra for a straight guy

Ya'll are a mess with these roommate problems
Do you guys confront your roommates about these issues? Talk to your RA's? Or do you guys just say nothing and let these issues fester all semester?

dddddd I complain about mine all the time to my friends on my floor and half the **** ends up back to him because they can't keep their mouths shut. it's mostly petty/small stuff but he's a ****ing idiot, smokes weed IN the room (only when I'm not there so I can't prove it !) because his lazy ass can't go outside. Looks like a RAT (I'm literally going to unloft my bed with one of the prime motivators being so I don't have to look down at him because it's such an unflattering angle). Smacks his food in the middle of the night when I'm trying to sleep, leaves his food IN the room so it always smells like food or weed. Annoying voice. Claims to be straight even though he's gayer than I am and I'm pretty gay.
Would so switch roommates/find a single but I'm in a brand new building and it's incredible and I'm not giving that up or my friends over a rat. I just spend as little time in there and around him as possible, although he's always trying to mingle with us

But seriously though, I assume this is an off campus living arrangement? If so, the best thing to do would be to talk to your roommate since you don't have an RA to mediate between the two of you. Address the problems you are having with him in a respectful manner and make it so that he sees things from your perspective. If that fails, then I guess keep doing what you're doing and try to spend as little time with him as possible. At night, try sleeping with your headphones in and go to sleep listening to music if he makes noises while you're in bed. Can't help you with his looks lol but just remember, communication is key.

Halfway through year 2 of med school. Ended up doing too much extracurriculars (as opposed to none last year). I'm really happy but really behind and I don't really know how to catch up
