If you are not Taylor Swift, Adele, Bruno Mars, Drake, etc labels do not care about you. That's why only a few artists top the charts every year.

Beyonce's strategy allows any artist with a level of quality music and creativity to shine - challenging Tier 1 artists to level up because now the GP is starting to become more aware of the mediocrity that labels push.

Quite brilliant and selfless strategy. 2016 has been the BEST year in music thanks to "Self Titled" challenging artists in all genres to find alternate ways to reach consumers through creativity and that to me is the impact that I know she is most proud of.

This is so laughable at this point, really. Literally nobody's doing what she's doing so artists still rely on traditional marketing. Literally nobody did the "surprise release" after she did it, literally nobody did the "visual" type of release she did. Like... where are all these opinions about changing anything are coming from? She literally had no impact and didn't change anything (except her ways of releasing albums) with these releases because nobody did them after. Can somebody explain to me if they have more receipts? No shade, no hate but all this praise for nothing seems so exaggerated to me and it doesn't seem authentic at all.

I'm not going to deny the impact the surprise release had in 2013. She was everywhere, everybody's jaws dropped. But as many pointed out already, the visual surprise release is not the new traditional way to release albums. Most artists still release traditionally, with greater success.

She didn't really change the industry. Only a few artists like Kid Cudi adopted her "drop the whole album" thing, whilst every other artist continues to release traditionally.
