I wanted a basic ass video with Gaga with her boyfriend being amazing tigether and some scenes of her alone in a horse riding away, pausing to look back, another flashback of some fighting/breaking up and the for the climax Gaga meeting him sun going down in a beautiful meadow and video coming to an end.
Christopher Huchel I love this video because I love you, but with this supposed to be a continuation of Perfect Illusion I was hoping for maybe a 10 min vid with some dialogue and some artsy shots. I love Joanne, but I really miss my Gaga.
Guys, does anyone know is there a record for the first video directed by a stylist and a singer who doesn't know hot to make a photo with iPhone in a Guinness Book or is it already snatched?
The second single off of Lady Gaga's latest album, Joanne, has finally received a music video, and it's by the same crew behind "Perfect Illusion." The singer revealed earlier this week that it comes as a sequel to "Perfect Illusion," starting off exactly where its predecessor left off.
The Ruth Hogben- and Andrea Gelardin-directed scene sees Gaga in stark contrast to the previous video, reviving herself from her mosh pit performance and being scooped up by a crew of handlers. She's lead to a set where she polishes up and performs once again, this time trading in ripped jeans for a full-on pink suit. The reflective video steers clear of the traditional love narrative and makes the song about the team around her.
Given the letter she released about PTSD last week, the pairing of videos makes sense. As she described in the essay, Gaga was traumatized by the lack of care with which she was handled in her earlier career, forced to tour even though she was in pain, which is perhaps represented by the "Perfect Illusion" video where she is literally thrown into a crowd. The video for "Million Reasons," then, shows how her team—her family—picked her up again, and helped her heal in creating the new record.
