I was really surprised with Hold Up in Pop and no R&B performance/song. I don't see her winning the pop or rock category, but there's really a chance she might win AOTY this time. I'd also bet Formation could snatch ROTY but definitely not SOTY.
I know this is going to be controversial among fellow Hive members but I think she didn't get an R&B performance/song nomination because her vocal performance in that song was appallingly underwhelming. She talked her way thorugh a rather tuneless track and voters didn't fall for that. I didn't either. That's why Formation is the only song I couldn't care less in Lemonade.

I tweeted about this earlier, Bey TRIED IT submitting Formation to R&B categories. Formation is an excellent track but it's not R&B, it's lowkey a rap track lmao. Solange better snatch for CITS though.

Whew. I think she has a way better chance at AOTY with this field than the scenario I imagined. Not in the bag, but it's much better for her than a field with Bowie and/or Radiohead along with 25 and Views/ANTI.
I think Bieber and Drake may weaken each other and the urban bloc will be more consolidated for Bey; a country act in the mix is great for Bey, too -- that demographic would have default voted Adele with these nominees.
