Speaking of young conservatives, I read an article back before election day saying that young conservatives are more likely to support gay rights, climate change, criminal justice reform, and Black Lives Matter compared to older conservatives. It's a shame that young people don't have more influence in the Republican party. We can only hope that they hold onto these views so that the GOP of the future (when this generation is older) is better on these issues.

GOP knows that it's only a matter of time until the majority of their voters are totally socially liberal, but they're in a tough spot since they have to pander to Evangelicals. I think even if Hillary had won, the GOP wouldn't have changed for more cycles - and now a Trump victory coupled with the official GOP platform being the most conservative ever just guaranteed that the war on being socially liberal will last another generation. It's going to be a while until they flip or at least remain silent on social issues and only focus on other things.
Which reminds me, now Texas is trying to pull an Indiana and pass a "you must bury your fetuses" law

They never learn, Kennedy & Co will slap them down so hard.
