"Next to Me" was a bit of a sleeper hit, wasn't it? I know it wasn't a huge hit, but it did alright in the US. I'm hoping that's the case with "Hurts."
God, this album is so good.... It just moved up to my second favorite album of 2016 (sorry, Lemonade). It's coming for idina.'s wig!
Does she have any promo for this album lined up in the US?
Long Live The Angels draws you into Sande's diary of heartache and follows through the emotions until she emerges stronger and wiser. It is a raw, unapologetic and genuine look at the breakdown of a serious relationship and, in a bittersweet way, has made her new musical direction even better.
a perfect short review to sum up the album as a whole.

Not really (in the UK), it was doing well but had v/ good longevity which made it the monster that it became.

Gotcha! I wasn't sure. I just remembered it kind of randomly started getting played pretty frequently on the radio here and I thought it was amazing because I saw the music video for it not too long after it was released on VH1, and it was cool to be able to say I became a fan before she got really big!
Also, has anyone found the acoustic version of "Hurts" yet? I'm dying to hear it!
And this is for Pitchfork for giving the album that review:
I've seen that Lonely is one of the most played tracks of the album on Spotify more than Highs & Lows
It's the song they chose to include in the New Music Friday playlist. I guess that's why.
Amazing song, don't get me wrong. But if I were to pick the next single, it would definitely be Highs & Lows. Lonely isn't a bad alternative though. And Every Single Little Piece in time for Valentine's Day maybe?

She did Jimmy Fallon and she's doing the AMAs carpet I think.
Does anybody know what the final sales were in the UK? I know it debuted at #2.

Massive decrease from her last album but considering she was gone for 4 years and most people didnt know about her comeback until she performed on X Factor it's pretty good. And for a UK artist, just sucks she was against Olly or she would have gotten the #1.

Yeah definitely, but it was expected given the sales climate. I was thinking she was going to pull a Corinne Bailey Rae but she didn't thank god
Okay, it's official. "Every Single Little Piece" is my favorite song off of the record and probably one of my favorites of 2016. It's SO good. I need that and "Highs & Lows" to be released as singles.
