And the rhetoric of Sanders being the hero is meh. He probably would have lost too, just with higher likeability. The US is not ready to go as far left as he is. All Trump had to do would be to hammer on "socialism" and "Venezuela", over and over. He'd have done better with the working class though. That's about it.

Yeah, seems like every time gays get rights, the Pres. election swings far right. I'm not kidding either. Gavin Newsome, former mayor of San Francisco was letting gays marry back in 04'. The decision energized the conservative base for Bush' reelection.
