I was literally expecting Hillary to win. I was just actually commenting that Hillary doesn't need her anyway. This will make them realize how irrelevant these celebrity endorsements are...or at least endorsements that are not by Taylor. jk

Yesterday's election was the prime example of how the GP couldn't care less about celebrities opinions, so no, Taylor supporting Hillary wouldn't change anything.

In fact, this election proved how the reality differs from opinions on social media because looking at Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, etc, no one would say Trump would win.
I mean, unless you were following the wrong people

II was talking with my sister about it and she made this amazing point that the celebrites probably did more harm than good
having alll these millionaire celebrities on Hilary's side so publically made it look like a gathering of the elite to the middle class which is why A LOT of them voted for Trump
Taylor did the right thing

Trump proposed reducing tax for the rich from near 50% to 25% percent. This makes me think that most of the pop girls would've voted for Trump for financial reasons.

Refraining from her political views was one of the most responsible things she's done. ATRL is so petty.

She obv voted for Hilary, and she obv did the right thing in not saying it.
Not only Trump will have now a lot of power while hating celebrities like Lady Gaga and Beyonce, but also half of
america (and a big part of her fanbase) would be pressed with her
Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and other celebrities showed yesterday that they don't have any power in people's voting intention (and that's a great thing, because I don't get why someone should change her/his vote just because a celebrity says so).

I hope you do realize that there are different kinds of "rich people". There is a huge difference between a candidate, who just wouldn't be a good president due to lack of experience or similar reasons, proposing advantages for a particular group and a candidate who is basically going to be the next Hitler. Just because you agree with one thing, doesn't mean that you would agree with the other points. As Taylor's friends have hinted several times, Taylor obviously voted Hillary, same goes for most other celebrities. It's very ignorant to think that rich and white = Trump.
The people who voted Trump are uneducated people, especially from small towns in the countryside, people who have always been racist, sexist and pro-gun. Are there rich people who voted for Trump? Of course but those are not the people who made him win. He took advantage of the uneducated, narrow-minded people; just like he said he'd in the 90s. That's what happened.

Exactly.

I don't care who Taylor votes for, but in no way did I imply that rich and white = trump either.
All I said is that voting Trump could save most rich people a collossal amount of money which could lead them to voting for Trump.
Taylor's friends 'confirming' she voted Trump does not mean she voted Trump. Publicly supporting Trump is taboo, so if Taylor did vote Trump, she obviously would've told her friends that she voted Hillary.

I get that but that's why I said that Trump's target group weren't the rich but the uneducated people and they made him win. A lot of rich people, especially celebrities most likely didn't vote for him because while they'd like the idea of tax reduction, they wouldn't agree with his racist, sexist and violent views. Have you seen interviews with Trump supporters? I've never seen such a level of stupidity in my life.

LOL, there's no doubt in my mind that she voted for Hillary.
Just look at the charities she does, even better, just remember that she has a lawsuit against a man who sexually harassed her, so really, it's easy to know who she voted.
Besides the fact that she would lose 95% of her friends if she ever thought about the possibility of voting for Trump, and we see that nothing has changed between them.

No.
The US should avoid obsessing over celebrities so much during elections and most importantly turning their candidates into celebrities themselves isn't the best idea either. A lot of Europeans didn't really take the election seriously because candidates that insult each other on social media and throw expensive parties with million dollar worth famous people who aren't experts, isn't the first thing that comes to their minds when they think about an election that is supposed to be about important and serious matters.

She could have saved nothing. I do wish she was more outspoken when it comes to that kinda stuff but oh well, it's too late now. And losing your sleep over whether Taylor voted for Trump or Hillary is just irrelevant at this point.
How can you guys still argue about Taylor's acts after what happened last night. It's just too overwhelming.
