This election is just proof that no, millenials aren't more liberal, or progressive, or tolent and they sure as hell ain't "woke". The ones in the big cities and minority-heavy areas may be but America is just as bit of racist and intolerant as ever and white millenials are just as racist as their parents and grandparents are/were.

Trump's campaign was run on racism, xenophobia and intolerance and White America loved it.

the Missouri governor race is almost as shocking to me than Trump winning. The democratic candidate Chris Koster was leading everywhere, endorsed by the major papers, the farm bureaus, even endorsed by the NRA.

It really parallels the presidential election because these people are desperate for an "outsider" with zero political experience.

....The breakdown clearly shows that the majority of his vote came from older white America. He DID win the young white vote but that was the closest race of all.

Minority America and younger Americans did not turn out to vote like before because they did not like either candidate - which was always the damn problem, but no one wanted to see that.
