The Countess is one of the best characters tbh. Multi-faceted and fabulous. It will be better if it was played by a more accomplished actress, but Gaga did fine.

Best characters per season:

Murde House: Constance and Moira. The Harmons are all awful.
Asylum: Anal, Sisters Jude and Mary Eunice. I have a soft spot for the Angel of Death, too. Love her look.
Coven: Myrtle, LaLaurie, Marie Laveau, Fiona, and Madison. Best season, tbh. Violet is terrible tho. Tessa Farmville is the worst.
Freak Show: DANDY. Isn't it ironic that the worst season had the greatest character? Finn is flawless.
Hotel: The Countess, Liz Taylor, and Sally.
Roanoke: So far, Agnes, Audrey, Lee, and Shelby.

The Countess being a heartbroken stone cold bitch since she lost the love of her life centuries ago is literally just as deep as, for example, Madison being a stonecold bitch because she's a troubled teenie star that everyone took advantage of.

And the Countess was obviously multi-faced. She behaved and even dressed differently around every character, to achieve her goals.

Don't see why one is one of the worst characters of all seasons whereas the other one is supposedly the best.

The Countess didn't have much expression and she had a different style every scene. It all felt so not real and not genuine.

I loved the plot twist from the last two episodes.

This might be the first season I actually finish since Coven Never watched the last episodes of Freakshow or Hotel.

The ending of Freak Show is good though. Just not the Fattie Freak and Chester Creb crap. That was absolute garbage writing and I already had a huge dislike for Neil Patrick Harris.

The Countess was useless. It's like they weren't sure if we were supposed to feel sorry for her or hate her so they just tried to do both.
Not the worst character tho. Hotel had other crap people and so did Freak Show.

I just think The Countess is a terribly-written character, and the reason I'm extra hard on her is because she's allegedly the lead. It's easier to forgive a character's issues if they aren't being shoved down our throat all the time. But as the "lead" and taking the place of the blonde H.B.I.C. that Jessica was for four years, she fell so extremely flat and simply wasn't as deep, interesting or engaging as Ryan clearly thought she was. Surface value, and any and all development was extremely marginal and shoe-horned.

But I'll stop talking about it since y'all are gonna say I'm repeating myself again!
