I'm not denying that it matters or that it happens. Like I said if the white liberal media is so inclined to "overrate" black artists, that's on them. Drag them, laugh at them, etc.
Just stop pushing all the SH*T onto black artists. And hailing that as the reason for them making music addressing things that are close to them. You're literally removing black people from the equation (including the black artists own feelings on their social value) and suggesting that black folks only make music to appease white folks.
Maybe when they're making pop music that's true, but not now when the themes are so overtly black. I swear black people can't have anything. Ya'll always wanna take the credit.
