I don't think he's a particularly great producer, no. People bash The Chainsmokers for being generic (which sure, they may be) but Mark isn't much better. He's been re-hashing his retro/funk beats for over a decade and only managed to find success with it twice, because of two huge artists - Amy and Bruno.

And actually my dislike for it has nothing to do with Gaga, in fact "Perfect Illusion" is probably one of his better productions .
