Gaga and her friends in the Haus are actually very big fans of R. Kelly's; they posted about him a lot on social media in the 2 years leading up to ARTPOP.
And your argument about trying to stir up controversy with "rapists" (Kellz was acquitted of the charges) is nonsensical because Do What U Want is
literally a song about consent.

The story that TMZ had is that Gaga didn't know about the sexual abuse allegations until after the video was shot, at which point she decided not to release the video.
And I buy it because the video would not have hurt her career to release. Beyoncé released the XO video directed by him after Gaga pulled the DWUW video. Wrecking Ball had just come out weeks prior.
