Yoona was even in the bottom half most of the time

Well being the leader doesn't directly correlate to getting the most lines, being a main vocalist does
Not to mention she's one of the prettier ones (poor Sunny) so she was heavily promoted in the beginning

I thought Jessica was the leader at first. She kinda should have been since she was the first member of SNSD.

My first SNSD comeback was The Boys and Taeyeon was kinda useless during that era. But Jessica stole the show with the most lines, the visual position, native English for their U.S. promotions and amazing vocals.

I just looked up their discog for the first time and learned something interesting

first Genie was their second single i always thought it was tiher fourth

second it turns out in the 2-4 years i stopped checking on them the only thing i missed was dancing queen

I always kind of knew that Taeyeon was the leader because she was the best singer in the group: kind of like, you know, Beyoncé in DC or Sisqo in Dru Hill.

If it were up to who exhibits the best leadership qualities, like it is nowadays, I swear to you Tiffany should have been the leader from the get-go. Her or Hyo...

I feel this way about all their leaders like it should be Amber as leader of f(x) and it should be Wendy for Red Velvet (and, no, I'm not just picking the English speakers) since they both exhibit their respective groups' brands the best and exude confidence and leadership!

I don't know what it is about Sooyoung that makes me drawn to her.
She has one line in Dancing Queen & it's my favorite part of the entire song, for no reason other than it being her voice.

It was tradition to make the eldest the leader, but I'm glad they're starting to phase it out so that people with the ability to micromanage can actually do so
