In terms of attitude it was Britney. Not "best since X", it was just Britney. The fact that she agreed to do it, and that she looked absolutely not nervous is huge. This is the girl who never performed on big stage during 2007-2015. Let's not forget that. If the stage fear is gone, then it'd be all about the choreographers she'll work with AND her willingness to put in the hours in the dance studio. Britney set foot at the VMA and performed a 20+minutes setlist in front of a lot of people who did not specifically went to see her, not her crowd. Something she did not even do in 2015 for the BBMA. She made me scream because throughout her performance she was giving look and had mini pause where she was like "Why no screams ? Why no reaction ?"
In terms of look it was Britney too. She looked flawless.
In terms of choreography, it was pretty bad. Toxic did not looked good without the tree, Work Bitch was decent, Stronger and Crazy were pretty bad, I'm still convinced she never really learned the Stronger break

I feel like every single moves Brit does is choreographed these days, which is so ironic because it looks worse than before but in the end she has more steps she needs to remember. Like back in the day she'd learn one-two-three killer breaks for a song, and then in between she'd just feel herself, doing random moves, twirl and stuff. Now it feels she has to do this arm movement, walk there, have this interaction with this dancer, walk there, etc.
Oh, and G-Eazy and Brit totally both want to **** each other, it was that kind of awkwardness between the two let's be real.
I feel like we're going onwards even though BBMA remains her best performance, based on her attitude alone. It still wows me how she had no nerves.
