Seriously though, Confessions is such a rich album. The melodies, the mood, it wasn't just some slapped-together chicken-ass album. That was the first album she released after I became a fan and I'm so thankful to have experienced that era properly.

I liked it at first but it really grows tired on you. The production is great but there's not enough substance in the lyrics for me. Especially when you get to the really well balanced songs like Let It Will Be, Forbidden Love*, How High, Like It Or Not & lowkey Push (despite it sounding like the audio equivalent of deep vein thrombosis).
Ahh my stan album and forever her 2nd best.
*A major point that the visuals elevate the whole era so it's hard to analyse the music alone. Easily one of her best visual eras if not the best.
