BTW: TEOG and Hair but she made TEOG single after its strong start
ARTPOP: DWUW was supposed to be promo single and Venus second single but then again they messed it up cause they thought preorder effect is "huge demand" so they rushed it and it's basically what killed ARTPOP era, also Dope

She is going to promote in UK next month or something like that, also video helps in most of ww countries especially Europe (+if it becomes hit in UK Europe is likely to follow)

neither of them is doing bad, it's completely normal and it's not songs fault. Only reason to prevent this was if she did some promo today but she didn't

I don't want 5 songs out before the album is even released. And not just Gaga, this strategy has honestly ruined nearly every album for me recently besides Dangerous Woman. It seems like artists choose their best songs and then the rest of the album is like I guess it's good for sales though.

Thats not every case, the army agrees Britney choose the worst songs on Glory as the promo singles so they were surprised the album was soooo good

My thoughts exactly.

She and her team are gonna do whatever they want, but I'm over countdown/promo singles. It detracts from the album experience. Just release the actual second single around the album release, unless PI is a runaway success.
