Feminism was a central pillar of the 1989 era. She spent a lot of time bringing her female friends to award shows with her, casting them in a blockbuster video, and bringing them on her tour. I really think she was genuine when she said she wanted to focus more on her girlfriends than her reationships and the media had p much nothing to do with it
The Lord genuinely cares for her friends as evidenced by her numerous acts of support for them.
