Has it only been twenty one pilots and X Ambassadors? This feel like the first time ages so many songs have so much guitar in them / lean rockier in the Top 10. I'd ki'd if Gaga inspired some small pop-rock resurgence.

I think it's a fairly reliable stat to use. Every song sells a certain amount out the gates and "peaks" at a different level. If we can work out this level, we can cross compare across time. Whether it goes #1 is dependent on the competition.
