I'm going to watch the documentary regarding Joyce Vincent (woman whose body was discovered two years later after her death with television still running). Mysterious people like her really get me all wrapped up in it
Mysterious disappearances fascinate me SO much. How can someone be here one minute, gone the next and literally never be seen or heard from again? I mean, they literally vanish.

I'm reading this thread deadass at 5pm and i got the creeps and it's daytime
This thread made me think about being kidnapped/taken and killed. Like what would you guys do if you were somewhere and left and then leaving wherever your at taken???
Kesha. She's always photographed at LAX airport but very rarely do you ever see her photographed wherever she's travelled to. Does she just turn up for a free photoshoot? Is there a secret studio she attends? Is she part of the FBI and can't be tracked? Is she just going to wave off her friends who may be flying? So many questions, all unanswered
I can't anymore

OT: I'm so interested in unsolved mysteries. I feel so bad for the victims and the families that never have any closure though.
So I done a bit of investigating Joyce Vincent (the woman who died and was found two years later in her room). Turns out she was quite popular but lead a mysterious life. This woman had dinner with Stevie Wonder and even shook Nelson Mandela's hand! It's crazy to think someone with quite a few connections, popular, beautiful and making great money can cut themselves off totally from their friends and family.
The whole case surrounding her has me so fascinated. I'm going to watch the documentary dedicated to her today.
Here are two more haunting cases of 2 teenage girls going missing..
Brittanee Drexel, 17, missing since April 25, 2009. Originally from Rochester, NY and disappearaed in Myrtle Beach, SC
Brittanee went on a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach against her mother's wishes, she told her that she would be staying at a friend's house locally for the week. On the last night of the trip, Brittanee disappeared while walking from a hotel where friends from her hometown that she met down there were staying and the hotel that she was staying at, both hotels were about a mile from each other. She sent her last text to her boyfriend at around 8:52pm, and when she stopped responding by 9:15pm, her boyfriend became worried and tried to contact her. Police reported that cell phone records say that by 9:27pm her cell phone was located 7 miles south of Myrtle Beach. By 11:58pm, her cell phone gave its final signal at the line of Charleston County, which is 2 counties south of where she disappeared. The area is known for being a remote, rural swampland with dangerous wildlife. All of her belongings were left in her hotel room. Her whereabouts are still a mystery today..
Brianna Maitland, 17, disappeared on March 19, 2004. Montgomery, Vermont
Brianna Maitland was last seen leaving her shift at the local Black Lantern Inn at 11:20pm on March 19. The next morning her car was discovered backed into an abandoned farmhouse about a mile from her job.
Here is an interview that the friend who she lived with at the time she went missing did on the decade marking her disappearance..
Her friend said, "She owed the wrong person money for the wrong thing, and that person was in her car that night." It's obvious that her friend knows more than what she is saying. It has been speculated that Brianna may have been dabbling in drugs during the time of her disappearance, and her mother reported that she displayed strange, alarmed behavior on the afternoon before her disappearance. Such an eerie case.. with little to no leads in both of these cases, I really wonder what the fate of these two girls were..
it's weird that Brittanee phone signal was found in Charleston County
so creepy
"she was awakened around 2:30 a.m. one morning in March 1997 by a knock at her apartment door. Waiting outside was Johnny Gosch, now 27, accompanied by a man she had never seen before. Gosch said she immediately recognized her son, who opened his shirt to reveal a birthmark on his chest. "We talked about an hour or an hour and a half. He was with another man, but I have no idea who the person was. Johnny would look over to the other person for approval to speak," says Ms. Gosch. "He didn't say where he is living or where he was going."
really creepy
I mean based on his mom words couldn't he run away from the man? I mean he's 27 and old enough to have the chance to run away unlike when he was younger
and i checked his mom's website and poor those younger boys
i hope they're with their families now
On June 4, 2010, Kyron was brought to school by his stepmother, Terri Horman, who then stayed with him while he attended a science fair. Terri Horman stated that she left the school at around 8:45 a.m. and remembered seeing Kyron walking down the hall to his first class. However, he was never seen in his first math class; instead, he was marked absent for the day and has not been seen since.
Search and rescue vehicles along Skyline Boulevard during search in March 2011
Horman's statements to the police indicate that, after leaving the school at 8:45 a.m., she ran errands at a local grocery store until about 10:10 a.m. Between 10:10 a.m. and 11:39 a.m., she states that she drove her daughter around town in an attempt to use the motion of the vehicle to soothe the toddler's earache. Horman went to a local gym at 11:39 a.m., and worked out until about 12:40 p.m. By 1:21 p.m., she had arrived home and posted photos on Facebook of Kyron at the science fair earlier that morning.
At 3:30 p.m., Horman, her husband Kaine Horman, and their daughter, Kiara, walked to the school bus stop to meet Kyron. The bus driver informed them that Kyron had not boarded the bus after school. The bus driver was asked to call the school and ask where Kyron was. She was informed by the school secretary that Kyron hadn't been in school since early that day and had been marked absent. She reported to the secretary that she did not have Kyron and, therefore, he was missing. The secretary then called the 911 call center using a private phone number assigned to the Portland Public School district to report that Kyron was missing. The 911 call center then reported this information to the police.
Pretty much everyone think it was the stepmom but there has never been enough proof and he has still yet to be found.
Quote:
In late June 2010, in the midst of the investigation into Kyron's disappearance, Kyron's biological father, Kaine Horman, was reportedly told by investigators that his wife, Terri Horman, had offered their landscaper "a lot of money" to kill him. Rodolfo Sanchez, the landscaper, said in a deposition that she approached him to help kill her husband five months before the disappearance of the boy. Investigators convinced the landscaper to confront Horman while wearing a wire, but they were unable to obtain any evidence and, therefore, did not make an arrest. On June 28, Kaine Horman filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against his wife. The divorce was granted and Terri Horman was eventually granted supervised visitation with her daughter.

so creepy
I feel so sad reading this
but couldn't the children tell the police what the man looked like?
she's been missing for 27 years
''She advised Tara to think about carrying mace, but she rejected the idea''
things would have gone differently if she said yes to her mom
i hope they find her
this always creep me out

There are new leads in the Brittanee Drexel case and it looks like she is dead

Missing Spring Breaker Was Raped, Shot And Fed To Alligators, FBI Agent Testifies
The twisted new claims behind Brittanee Drexel’s 2009 disappearance follow a jailhouse confessional.
A 17-year-old girl who vanished outside a South Carolina resort in 2009 was gang-raped before she was murdered and fed to alligators, according to an explosive new report citing an FBI agent’s testimony.
An inmate who claims to have witnessed Brittanee Drexel’s final moments recently spoke out about the teen’s death in a stirring jailhouse confessional, according to a federal court transcript obtained by the Post and Courier.
FBI Agent Gerrick Munoz testified last week that inmate Taquan Brown, who is serving a 25-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter, said that just days after the Rochester, New York, teen vanished outside Myrtle Beach’s BlueWater Resort, he saw her being held in a “stash house” in McClellanville, South Carolina. It’s the same town, located about 60 miles south of Myrtle Beach, where authorities said her cell phone gave off its last ping.
