Ratata at least looks better than the original, but I'm still a bit disappointed by this.

Eh. Not really. The only two potential hints to that are the leak saying "Rattata line - Dark" and "Ninetales - Fire/Fairy". The leak didn't mention any of the other Alola Forms so far, and both of those typings have been wrong. Rattata is Dark AND Normal and Ninetales' typing is wrong; it's Ice/Fairy. It also implied that Vulpix didn't have an Alola Form, but it does.

The mustache bugs me for Rattata but its nice I guess. Its hard getting excited for Z moves when itll just end up being a Gen gimmick. But they do look cool.

Well it seems like we are only getting alternate formes of Kanto mon so maybe if the DPP remakes actually happen they will start serving them from other generations as well. Feebas was originally catchable in those games, right? We only need to wait 3 years for that Alternate Milotic.
