Well, "jumped" is a relative term as Source Music and BigHit are very close, literally/locationally. Way back in the day, they had already co-produced a girl group called GLAM, and while BigHit doesn't take any credit for GFRIEND (I think part to avoid any, uh, assistance from the #ARMY, and part because BigHit were preparing to join the Signal media group), that Source Music were able to produce GFRIEND with an official company staff of 5 people pretty much indicated they were getting assistance from somewhere. Maybe a neighbor.
It's like, "can we borrow a cup of milk and your choreographer" type a deal.
. Hopefully they don't give up on the velvet concepts.
