A Safe Haven Baby Box where mothers can drop off unwanted newborns anonymously with emergency help moments away is now available in northeastern Indiana.
Quote:
The boxes are equipped with a security system that notifies emergency personnel when a baby is dropped off. Emergency responders can get to the child within minutes.
At least with abortion the child won't have to grow up knowing that his or her mom abandoned them in a freaking box, that gotta hurt your self-esteem A LOT or even destroy it ...

I mean, I'm not saying this is a good thing but I'm pretty sure a newborn/infant wont ever remember being left in a box unless someone tells them, and babies are generally adopted pretty quickly so

Yeah it's true, but I mean at some point the cat's gotta get out of the bag. I guess its up to the adoptive parents to tell the full truth or not (supposing that they themself know the full story).
It's really common here in Germany, nearly every hospital, church etc. has one. I can understand that it's quite controversial tho. I can't tho @ some of you that act like abortion is such an easy decision
It's not ideal but it's a solution to a big problem that probably isn't going away any time soon. You'd rather a baby was left there where it can have medical attention quick than abandoned somewhere unsafe and left for days without help.
EDIT: Mess at y'all saying women should get abortions instead. Most of the babies will be adopted and get to live a happy life, why would you just kill them?
This is normally working where I live and trust me it's a good thing. I mean, should they put the baby in the box or throw it somewhere in the woods or even a trash and let the baby die???? (Because this is happening, mothers are literally throwing living babies in a trash!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Also the box is made for babies, it's warm and nurses are going for the babies literally 2 minutes after someone opens it and puts the baby in it.
