TBH the only thing I'm not 100% here for from this is No Gyms. I absolutely LOVE the Island Challenge idea. It serves Orange Islands with having to do knowledge-based tasks and go to find items and meet others. That's great for the 20th anniversary imo. But I'm gonna miss not having Gyms. I hope the "create ur own league" part from one of the leaks is true, and that - a longshot here - you can battle the league (aka gyms) postgame after completing the main story and beating the 4 island leaders. That would truly be the best of both worlds.
When the Alola Formes were revealed, my reaction was literally "OMG NOOO" but I've really warmed to them. I'm not fully sure about them being able to change primary type - that feels strange. But I'll get used to it. Ice/Fairy Ninetales is qt even if it will always be a Fire-type to me. I do hope the pre-Gen 6 stat / type things are not tru though. That'd be a mess. Like I transfer a Clefairy from Gen 4 to Gen 6 to Gen 7 and its Normal in G4, Normal/Fairy in G6 and because it came prior to G6, it's Normal only again in G7? Uh... yeah no thanks. That part better be wrong. Here for the other rumoured type changes tho. I love the new Exeggutor too. It's so weird but I love it.
I don't think Mega Evolution will be removed. But I'm thinking they won't add any more. The leak did say Alola Formes were introduced for
Pokemon without Mega Evolutions, which, to me, means that ME is still a mechanic, they just won't focus on it any more. Poor Gyarados. That Elusive Water/Dragon typing. SMH. (Alola Lugia better happen with Water type). I also think if that is the case, then in Gen 8, we won't have any more Alola-Formes, and they'll move onto something new.
The riding Pokemon... could it replace HMs???????? We saw Sharpedo breaking rocks, and we see Charizard flying the player. And the thing is, the website says you do NOT own the Pokemon. They help you whenever you call on them! HMs could finally be gone
The birds are a mess. But they're great. The cheerleader one is a ****ing mess but i love her too. The mantis is amazing. eh @ the donkey and yungoos evo. don't mind them. don't care for them. don't know them. Litten won't be used now. So it's between Rowlet and Popplio. I need them to reveal more Water-mons.
I'm actually so hyped for this. Gotta admit the trailer shocked me into being a bit sad at first but I'm here for it. Ok going back to enjoy my holiday. Adios.
