After Her Name Is Nicole, and the little bits of Behind The Scenes stuff that has been said by some people from the industry about that album. I don't believe talks about "getting it right' or "I only have one shot at a debut" talk anymore. Everything pointed at a September/October release, I mean the album is ready and there have been released 4 songs already, there even have been pre-orders. I feel she is stuck between label politics and have to keep up the positive crap talk to keep things calm and to initially put the blame on herself for getting it right and that there is a 'plan' why she needs to give it a pushback.
I love Dua's music and I am excited to see her live in October. I am sure the wait will be worth it for the material. But I am not convinced if the wait is actually worth it on the bigger scale looking at the fact that the album era probably is over when the album is finally out. I mean we are heading to the 5th so called single or 'promotional' cut. And there will be most likely a 6th one before the album is out, with the big possibility of atleast Room for 2 to also get the instant grat threatment. Which means she probably has 7 or more tracks released of an album that is supposed to have 17 tracks. I don't see her label investing in much more videos/singles after that, which possibly mean that the era is over once the album hits shelves
It's such a shame. But I guess we have to deal.
