"You" are nothing but a complex system of (electro)chemical reactions taking place in your brain. There is no "physical form" to leave behind: everything you are is itself physical. The soul does not exist.
So when you die, brain activity obviously ceases due to lack of blood flow. Inevitable cell death and decomposition renders "you" as non-existent.
And what's wrong with life being pointless? Why assume it needs to have a "point" in the first place?
