Yesterday was such a sad day using the live map. TWO snorlaxes spawned, 1 Venusaur + 1 slowbro, but the ****ers all appeared right on the edge of my radius, where it would probably take me 10-15 minutes to run there with little/no traffic. And since this was after work on a weekday at about 5-6 pm, I was both extremely tired, and figured the servers would crash anyway & I would be disgusting and sweaty in the 100 degree great for nothing.

This morning MORE than made up for it when I found an 1158 CP Arcanine (literally my fave ) in my neighborhood. I lowkey got misty eyed when I captured it, as my area doesn't really have growlithes

I was shocked when I evolved my 593ish cp exeggcute & it became a ****ing 1711 exeggutor also got surprised by my tentacruel, it had blizzard which just SLAYED a Dragonite @ a nearby gym. Speaking of gyms, while i get that GO appeals to a lot of new/casual fans, ppl need to familiarize themselves with competitive battling teambuilding (forming cores, primarily). It's so annoying when I take over a nearby gym and put, say, tentacruel there, and then my team put their starmie, golbat, etc. All it takes is one decent jolteon (common, with high cp) to scalp us.

Now I'm just chilling, waiting for a Dragonite, stage 3 starter, gyarados, snorlax, lapras or Gengar to pop up.

Can anyone tell me if the location of the Pokémon is related to places like cities, rivers and stuff...? Because yesterday I caught a Psyduck near a river but I have also caught multiple Poliwag at my house and on normal streets

Another question, is it possible to get Incense at PokéStops?

Btw I'm only level 6 and my strongest mon is a 196CP Pidgeot ...

Today was a MESS. Went on the bus which takes me into town and then onto the beach. So, was catching 'mons on the bus, and then got off at the beach - there were two teenagers (I'd say about 14/15 yo) on the bus behind me and they were comparing levels like "I'm lv9" and the girl was lv7. and I was sitting here like, "should i turn around and drag them coz im lv16". i didn't

There were so many people playing at the beach. So many. People sitting in their cars beside Pokestops People stopping as soon as a Pokemon appeared (including me) My best catch imo was a Ponyta - I didn't have one yet and I got two today and one was 500CP+

I spent like 20 minutes tracking down a Vulpix and I couldn't find it, so I randomly checked Pokevision and there was a WARTORTLE at the other side of the beach that would disappear in twelve minutes, and I knew I'd never get there in time. I tried but gave up half way when I had 4 minutes left. I'm pressed Came back into town on the bus and a squirtle appeared with 366 CP. I used 2 razz berries + 3 great balls and it FLED. THIS MOTHER ****ER I'm so upset

Then my phone ran out of battery. Went into Game to buy a portable battery source and it said it was already charged, but it didn't work. I used Low Power Mode for the whole day and it was kinda useful for my battery but I'd been out for like 2.5 hours by the time I got back in town so it ran out of the charge. I'm lv17 now and I'm gonna transfer and evolve my pidgeys etc now.

Not sure, but I think so. My neighborhood is along the east river, and it serves as a great squirtle nest, and there are plenty of places along the river with tons of krabby, magikarp, staryu, etcetc.

For people asking what to evolve, if y'all are below level 20ish:

- If your goal is to collect (instead of to get stronger Pokemon), you might want to evolve once; from then on, just prioritize evolving for the fewest # of candies used.
- For example, evolve one Pidgeotto into a Pidgeot so you have it in your Pokedex, but from then on just evolve Pidgeys for the EXP.
- You will never use these ~400 CP Pokemon anyway. They will be transferred when you catch a 700+ CP version of that Pokemon once you level up more.
- Don't use stardust at this point in the game. Save it for when you catch actual strong Pokemon.

That's actually my big issue with this game. There's no incentive to build up a Pokemon. My starter Squirtle has 13 CP I wanna transfer it but feel bad, so I'm letting it take up a spot in my inventory.

The problem is that you don't know if your ball is going to curve or not.

Ball 1: Throw it straight, but it has the curveball glitch and goes all the way off to the right.
Ball 2: Throw it to the left so that it will curve, but then it's NOT a curveball and just goes flying off to the left.

etc. The glitch makes it so that you don't know what you'll get and therefore can't aim. You end up wasting mad balls

& @ RihannaRTT, the same thing happened to me not long ago, it showed that an OMASTAR was "nearby", but that meant on the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge

Hey guys Is it better to evolve bigger and heavier Pokémon or does it not matter?

I have tons of charmanders right in front of my apartment every 10 minutes but i'm almost never home so i only hve like 60 Charmander candies.

I can either evolve

1. 278 WP / 10.4 KG / 0,4 m ---> doesn't know Flamethrower

2. 262 WP / 14,37 KG (XL) / 0,47 m ---> doesn't know flamethrower either

3. 262 WP / 4,05 KG (XS) / 0,46 m --- KNOWS flamethrower

Which one should i evolve? Will the evolution get other attacks? I actually never paid attention.

Or should i wsit until i'm at a higher level to catch a better Charmander?

Depends on your area. I'm level 22 now and have cought a total of 2 Oddish. So I would never delete a Gloom if I would get one.

For fighting you get enough stuff that's more common.

I have a place nearby that has a ton of Ponytas so I have 3 Rapidash with over 1000 CP. Outside of that place I have never seen a Ponyta.

They get different attacks, so don't worry about attacks if you're thinking of evolving.

Those are pretty weak CP-wise; I'd say evolve one of them IF you want Charmeleon in your Pokedex right now. When it comes to fighting, just wait until you get a better one to evolve it. If they appear outside your house, you'll def get a better one.

And lucky! I haven't seen a single Charmy near me

Hi everyone

I caught today like 31 pokemons and one of them was a 911CP MAGMAR
I came across a Wartortle but it fled xd
and what i saw, When you have more than 20 Poke/great balls it becomes only harder and harder to catch a pokemon I mean i threw 6 pokeballs and 3 razz berries to a Poliwag with 220cp and it fled But when i had 3 great balls, 1 GB and one RB was enough to catch it.

BTW i'm living in Istanbul and i wasnt expecting to this game to slay this hard my country Everyone at the shoopping mall where there are 3 pokestops was full of people pplaying Go with them hiding their phone There was even a child who exposed his dad with "Daddy i caught a Pidgeyeyyyyyyy xdxdxd" and we all were laughing
