They actually can pop out a lot of group, RBW has this educational training camp that everyone can apply (including you & me). And actually cast their trainees from there and also from auditions.
Heck, Kim Dohoon has been popping out groups in different international calling codes.
The CJ group had contracted Polaris Ent to take over management of their academies as well as produce their audition shows, but when internal problems immediately started to pop up within Polaris after the Ladies Code crash (more Clara related than crash related ), CJ started to look for someone else as a hedge, and Kim Dohoon was ready to expand.
Article: Has IOI's image been overexposed... the concerns of project groups
Source: Ilgan Sports via Naver
1. [+2,083, -100] In my opinion, Gugudan's failure has nothing to do with IOI's image but rather inner issues within Gugudan. It's a combination of their concept, outfits, choreography, etc.
2. [+2,573, -71] Gugudan's song is just bad, the members being overexposed with IOI is not the issue
3. [+1,142, -57] If you have a good song, everything else doesn't matter
4. [+323, -31] It's obvious that Gugudan's debut was rushed. DIA's comeback was planned so nothing's awkward about it but Gugudan looks like a school talent show that got together a week before their stage.
5. [+248, -15] Before Gugudan's debut, they did all that media play using IOI's name but now that the debut isn't showing good results, they're blaming IOI for overexposing the members' image ㅋㅋ
6. [+249, -26] Gugudan's members, outfits, everything just seems so backwards and outdated. The only reason Gugudan and DIA are still in the game is because of IOI's fame. If not for IOI at all, both groups would've disappeared after a week.
