I visited an art biennial a few days ago and there's this huge multichannel video installation by the artist Cécile B. Evans which is about what is going to mean to be "human" in a future digital age. The computer narrator of the video talks at one point about the process of googling images of Jennifer Lopez’s infamous dress from the 2000 Grammys, and it only refers to her as "a singer" and once as "a singer who became an actress who eventually became a singer again" without mentioning her name once. And I was like, is that part of the artwork's narrative or is this... shade?

And speaking of "desperate", I'm sorry if I acted like that recently because I really REALLY want to see her trying something out of the box. I want her to explore again, I want her to shut everyone (including myself) who keep on dragging her because she keeps on rehashing her 2005 sound.

She needs to get out of her comfort zone. She needs to reinvent herself as an artist. I want her to be artistic more than Beyoncé (post-4 until Lemonade).

I hope she will work with new people on her next album. But my thoughts will only remain on myself and this website. I know she can do THAT. It's just that there are no people in her surrounding that can give her a reality check.

Yeah, not all but some of her songs (especially after TEOM) and it's kind of evident.

And I think, it's not weird to have that kind of thinking because we all have different perceptions on her catalog.
